Wyoming Seed List - FAQ’s


Fields with an “*” asterisk are required fields if you are going to list your seed.

* Seller’s Name: Enter the name of the person or entity selling the seed.

* City: Enter the name of the city where the seed is located.

E-mail: If the seller would like to use e-mail to communicate with people regarding the seed posted on the site, please enter the email address.

* Phone: Enter the phone number where the seller may be contacted.

* Crop Kind: Enter the kind of crop. Examples would be “pinto bean”, “wheatgrass”, and “alfalfa”.

Variety: Enter the variety name or “Variety Not Stated”.

*Pure Seed: Enter the percentage of pure crop seed, which is found on a seed test report.

*Weed Seed: Enter the percentage of weed seed in the seed for sale, which is found on a seed test report.

* Other Crop Seed: Enter the percentage of seed of other crops in the seed for sale, which is found on a seed test report.

* Inert Matter: Enter the percentage of material such as leaves, stems, and dirt that is in the seed for sale, and is found on a seed test report.

* Germination: Enter the percentage of seed that germinated under known conditions, which is found on a seed test report.

Dormant Seed: This is the percentage of seed that absorbed water during a germination test, but did not sprout, and is found on a seed test report.

Hard Seed: This is the percentage of seed that did not absorb water during a germination test, and is found on a seed test report.

Seeds per pound: This is used by people purchasing the seed to determine seeding rates, and in some cases, the quality of the seed.

Notes: Enter in the text box any additional relevant information, such as best times to reach you, if delivery is available, or what seed treatment has been applied.
