TOOTHED SPURGE (Euphorbia dentata Michx.)   GROWTH HABIT: Annual, nearly erect to 24 inches. LEAVES: Usually opposite to 3 inches long, oval to lance-shaped, hairy, coarsely toothed, often with a central reddish spot. STEMS: Many branched, curved upward with branches also curving upward. FLOWER: Small, yellow-green to green, without petals, in clusters at ends of branches. ROOTS: SEEDS: To 1/6 inch long, spherical to egg-shaped, gray, in a 3 celled smooth capsule. 1 seed per cell. OTHER: White milky sap throughout the plant. Native to U.S. on dry or moist soils.
