Wyoming 4-H Foundation awards scholarships totaling $24,000
The Wyoming 4-H Foundation this month awarded more than $24,000 in first-time college scholarships to 4-H youth.
Recipients were chosen based on academics, 4-H work, leadership and financial need, said Steve Mack, Wyoming 4-H Foundation director. A committee of a collegiate 4-H member, a State 4-H Office representative and a University of Wyoming College of Agriculture representative made the selections.
4-H is the youth arm of the University of Wyoming’s Cooperative Extension Service, and its state offices are in the College of Agriculture.
Including first-time recipients and those who have renewed their scholarships, the Wyoming 4-H Foundation has provided more than $55,000 in scholarship money this year. Scholarships range from $2,400 to $250.
