nutrition program educator serves Sheridan, Johnson counties
Shauna Bowers has joined the Sheridan County University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service office as the Cent$ible Nutrition Program (CNP) educator for Sheridan and Johnson counties.
CNP teaches people to eat more sensibly on a budget.
“I am very excited about working with the CNP because I firmly believe it is an exceptional program that will make positive changes in the lives of families in our communities,” said Bowers, a longtime Sheridan resident. “I have already implemented changes in my own lifestyle as a result of what I have learned and look forward to sharing how to eat better for less with others in Sheridan and Johnson counties.”
CNP is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Stamp Program.
She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Education with a degree in elementary education and is pursuing a master’s of education degree in special education at the University of Phoenix-Online.
Bowers and her husband, Gary, have four children.
Bowers can be reached at (307) 674-2980 or sbowers@sheridancounty.com.
