Welcome to the University of Wyoming Extension Entomology home page. For returning visitors, please follow the appropriate link in the left-hand list. For new visitors, a bit of an introduction to what's available may be in order, though an attempt has been made to make navigation of the site as obvious and straight-forward as possible.
For up to date information on a current issue in entomology, follow the
Hot Topic link. Because UW is a leading developer of grasshopper management strategies, follow the Grasshoppers link to find out more about this important insect. West Nile Virus is a subject on a lot of people's minds, and the Mosquitoes link will provide detailed news on the entomological aspect of this issue. If you've found a bug in your home and would like to know what it is, follow the Insects in the Home link. Use the Insects in the Garden link if you have a bug problem on any plants around your home. To learn more about insect pests on the farm or ranch, including crop protection, try Insects on the Farm. Insect Identification will give you the chance to submit a specimen for analysis (find the Insect Submission Form here). Publications and Bulletins includes a comprehensive listing of extension entomology works, many accessible in electronic format and/or available for purchase. In order to find who's on the job in extension entomology, including contact information for your county extension agent, use the Contact Personnel link. Please provide us feedback by completing this form.
