HOWEVER,
 
• If an AFO falls within the CAFO criteria and is designated as such the regulations state:
• Provided, however that no animal feeding operation is a concentrated animal feeding operation as defined above if such animal feeding operation discharges only in the event of a 25 yr. 24 hr. storm event.  (This is the federal regulation - in Wyoming the regulations are more stringent - regardless of demonstration of 25 year event containment with 1000> animal units a permit is required.)
